About the Event

Qigong is an ancient Chinese mindfulness exercise and movement meditation system. Qigong harmonizes our mind-body connection, cultivates the internal energy system, clears stagnation from the acupuncture meridians and increases the functioning of our natural healing mechanism to promote wellness and longevity.

In many ways, the natural somatic healing characteristics of Qigong infusing the principles of Chinese medicine directly into our very being. 

Qigong works to:

- Grounding our mind back into our body, 

- Calms, invigorates and centres the spirit,

- Increases your energy,

- Deletes unhealthy tension,

- Builds resilience to stress and disease,

- Increases your natural healing mechanism and healing gifts.

'An Introduction to Qigong' is a fun one-day interactive workshop designed to introduce you the basic philosophy and some basic practices of Qigong. In this workshop, you will be given gentle, healing movement meditation practices which you can take away and use to return yourself into a state of wholeness and radiant wellness. 

This is a two-part workshop: 

PART 1

In the morning session, you will be given the basic theoretic concepts of Qigong. This will help highlight the important reasons that the embodied philosophy and practice of Qigong are such an important now more than ever before. In this morning session, you will also be given 4 basic, yet profound, foundational qigong practices which you can take away and use to powerfully supercharge your mind and body practices. 

PART 2

In the afternoon session, we will delve deeper into the profound and exciting way that qigong works and how Qigong creates an internal environment within your body which is capable of powerfully transforming your health and empowering personal growth and evolution. In the afternoon session, you will be taught 3 Qigong methods to work on the 3 major yin organs of the Kidney, Spleen and Lungs.
